Instrument QC Lead
• Performed as an Instrument QC Lead under process-1 furnaces, the crew members consisting of four QC inspectors and six instrument technicians.
• Achieved Best QC Inspector (Electrical & Instrumentation) for SHELL DBN Project.
• Attained Singapore workforce skills Qualification in Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in process plant
• Responsible for close monitoring of construction activity in line with the client specified standards.
• Keeping strict implementation of the design/drawing specification. Monitoring and control of the documents drawing used by the construction are the updated / latest revision.
• Make immediate query or action regarding any changes in the design or drawing considering the actual site condition.
• Implementing the quality control procedures and instrument test plan (QCP / ITP) as per the site work instruction (SWI) required.
• Instrumental in reviewing & approving Contractor’s / Supplier’s Documents i.e. Purchase Orders (PO), Inspection Test Plans, Inspection Assignment Packages, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Method Statements & Inspection Reports.
• Responsible for the execution of all instrumentation inspection prior to acceptance of the client.
• Efficiently issued Non Conformance & Site Inspection Reports for non-compliance activities against the approved quality procedures, inspection test plans, codes & standards and closed out on satisfactory corrective / preventive actions.
• Preparation of individual instrumentation Inspection Report ( I.R. ) such as primary and secondary instrument cable tray installation, primary and secondary cable insulation and continuity test, primary and secondary cable pulling, glanding and termination from instrument to field junction box and from junction box to instrument equipment shelter ( IES ) continuity test and open and close loop checking. Instrument, impulse tubing, instrument air, Analyzer, gas detector, fire detector, Public Address (PA) and all vendor installation as per P&ID and ILD.
• Oversaw the installation & testing of Electrical / Pneumatic Hook-Ups: Cable Routing, Laying, Segregation, Sealing, Termination & Grounding.
• Witnesses in calibration of transmitters as per the project quality requirements.
• To verify Cable gland tightness, Cable Core Marker exact termination point of each cable core as per Approved Wiring Drawing.
• Witnessed Calibration of instrument like pressure, level, temperature, pressure switch, temperature switch control valves I/P converters.
• Assist in plant commissioning, loop checking, function test & safety Interlock check.
• Carried out daily job activities after receiving RFI (Request for inspection) from contractor and completion of inspection report, Non-Compliance Reports, etc.
• Inspection QVD’s/EQCC completed statement are stored in the database and closed out in the GO-Completion system as per the project requirements.
• Review of Vendor Instrumentation Drawings as per immediate site requirement. Mark up on Process and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) and Hook up diagram, loop diagram implementation to the site requirements.
• Inspected & Witnessed Instrument Cable Duct Bank, Cable Pulling from FAR to J.B & Control Room and RGS conduit, instrument stanchion, Marshalling Panel, Junction Boxes installation, Mounting of Transmitters such as pressure, level, temperature, Flow and Control valves, Analyser shelters, Rack system as per Project Specifications and standards.
• Inspected & Witnessed cable megger & continuity test before & after Termination of LV Cables.
• Performed Loop check & Functional check based on Cause & Effect matrix, Logic test for Fire & Gas System, detectors, and Process Instruments.
• Carried out functional checks of ESD loops and interlock system along with implementing new facility changes from operation.
• Holds the credit of representing the company in final walkthrough, Generation of Punch lists, expedite timely close out as per A, B and C categories
