Integrated Health Centers and Workers' Hospitals, Ras Laffan, Qatar. The hospital is the second of three to be built for migrant workers by the Special Engineering Office. The facilities are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2016. Each will have a capacity of 120 beds, which could later be expanded to 217 beds. Work on the other projects at Mesaieed Industrial City and Doha Industrial Area had commenced in 2013. Each of these hospitals, too, will have an attached health centre and medical commission unit. Project value: US$ 61 million. Participating in the supervision and project management of all architectural and finishing works including managing the design stage, acting as the Engineer under the FIDIC Contract and administering day-to-day site activities of the project. A large scale complex of residential, commercial, and hotel buildings, including a 500 room 5-stars hotel, 200 hotel villas, as well as aqua sports and a commercial centre. The land area is 440,000 m2. Project is divided in two phases where construction and finishing of Phase 1 started since 2010. Client: Qatari Diar. Project value: US$ 800 million. Played a key role in the project management of all architectural, finishing and civil works up to the handing over of Phase I of the Project. Main activities: • Managed the interfaces between the Consultancy Team, the Client’s Development Team and the Contractor, • Presented to the Client monthly reports including areas of concern and recommended action plans, • Ensured that all the Project Design Documents are controlled, recorded and filed as per contract requirements, • Managed the day-to-day Architectural / Interior Design RFI’s and Shop drawings submission. Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, Ghana. Took part in project managing all architectural and finishing works for the new 5-stars hotel building up to the handing over of the Project. The hotel is composed of 10 floors with 35,790 m² of built-up area and with 260 luxurious rooms & suites and 70 fully furnished hotel apartments on a 70,000 m² site. Facilities within the hotel includes free form swimming pool, health club and spa, tennis and squash courts, as well as 1 main restaurant and 2 special cuisines restaurants, coffee shops, BBQ area and bar. The hotel boasts West Africa’s largest ballroom with 1,800 guest’s capacity, 9 meeting rooms, and a business centre. Project value; US$ 110 million. Main activities: • Supervised a team of Architects and consulted on the quality of construction and the execution of the Hotel finishes, • Led a Team of Architects in reviewing material submittals and shop drawings, • Coordinated with regional / home office for technical support required to ensure the correctness and completeness of the Design, • Reviewed and reported to Client monthly reports including areas of concern and recommended plans of actions, • Ensured that all Project Design Documents are controlled, recorded and filed as per contact requirements.

Dar Al Fouad Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. The new hospital building is composed of 7 floors with 27,890 m² of built-up area on a 13,300 m² site, an underground 26,600 m² houses 2 Basements' floors for parking & utilities. The project provides 156 extra beds with related facilities for emergency, surgical procedures, outpatient, physical therapy, renal dialysis, and cardiac catheterization, in addition to an 8-storey medical tower (20,500 m²) accommodating 235 clinics.

New Terminal Building at Sharm El-Sheikh Airport, Egypt. Participated in the supervision and project management of all architectural and finishing works including managing the design stage, budgeting and cost estimation, assisting the client in concluding World Bank funding, contract drafting according to World Bank regulations, contractor's pre-qualification, managing tender stage, negotiating and contract awarding, acting as the Engineer under the FIDIC Contract and administering day-to-day site activities, controlling construction time and cost, performing quality control, reviewing materials and shop drawings, monitoring health and safety, testing, commissioning, and handing over for the Project The project consists of a new 2-level Terminal Building with a total built-up area of 43,000 m², handling 2,500 passengers/hour and featuring, on the first level, 40 check-ins, 7 departure gates and a VIP arrival/departure gate, an arrival terminal with expanded customs facilities and a departure hall with duty free/shopping areas in addition to all airport systems and services. The second level is dedicated to food lounges with views of Sinai mountains and the Red Sea. The land side area (135,000 m²) accommodates besides the terminal building a mosque, ancillary buildings, sewage treatment plant, 42,000 m² of vehicular roads and car-parking space (100 buses and 250 cars), and all landscaping works. Duties further comprised environmental protection measures, including solid waste disposal and noise abatement. Financed by IBRD. Project Value: US$ 80 Million.

Duties comprised: * Supervising and consulting on the quality of construction and the execution of the Intercontinental Hotel finishes, * Reviewing material submittals and shop drawings, * Snagging and handing over for the Intercontinental Hotel project component.

A tourist resort (Al Yasmine) project, North Coast, Egypt, Site Architect. Comprising a 150-room 4-star hotel and 500 villas, including swimming pools, restaurants and a commercial centre. Duties comprised: * Supervising and consulting on the quality of construction and the execution of villa finishes, * Reviewing materials, samples and shop drawings, * Performing daily inspection of architectural works.
